I’ve been on both sides of this situation. The issue is dissatisfaction from settling. At the end of the day it’s settling. Sometimes trying really isn’t enough. Sometimes you really just aren’t happy no matter what they do because you know you deserve more.
Who is on their level. What will end up happening is resentment from both sides will end up forming. The person pouring in effort, and then the person settling because they want to give the person who is trying a chance. It’s incompatibility, just leave.
Sorry if this sounds hyper individualistic but your needs matter more than someone’s effort towards making you happy. I believe that if you’re still not happy after someone is trying. It’s better for both parties to leave. You can get what you need, they can find someone-

This is the realist part of this interview… you gotta be real with yourself and come to some understanding. Some of us build so much expectations on our partners that end up hurting us. We have to be real, no one can give you what you want 100% every day, that’s just fantasy
if cutting me off makes you feel like your life will be better, then by any means necessary do it. but don’t come back when you realize i was never the problem. people don’t realize the privilege of been in someone’s life. shitting on authentic people is never it.
the secret to living a calm and confident life lies in being organized and prepared. when you are always scrambling, searching, stumbling, you create an energy of chaos. part of respecting yourself is adequately preparing yourself for what lies ahead.
