It’s not just the actions but often the inactions lead to more technical debt.
We don’t ask pilots to pay for airplane fuel. We don’t ask cops to pay for guns, bullets or handcuffs. And we don’t ask doctors or nurses to pay for medicine or surgical equipment. So then why is it ok to ask teachers to supply their own classrooms?
Is it any worse than taking a day off to hike, or read a new book, or go to the spa? I keep hearing "be kind to yourself" and then I see folks like this say "you're doing it wrong." Grown men deserve me-time too. He works? He's earned it. Let him enjoy stuff. Support that?
