CS Davis Chirchir held a consultative summit that brought together @TurkanaCountyKE leadership led by Governor @GvnLomorukai and project stakeholders with a view to providing an update on the status of Project Oil and Gas Development & the Exploration in the South Lokichar Basin.
The CS noted that it's critical to fast-track the exploitation of our fossil fuels in an environmentally sustainable manner while ensuring that the Turkana County at large & the local communities in the South Lokichar basin benefit from the hydrocarbon resources found in Turkana.
Discussions are ongoing on the proposed Field Development Plan submitted by @TullowOilKenya This plan provides a roadmap of how the resources in the South Lokichar basin are to be exploited for the benefit of humanity.
