Seems there is a difference between “thinking about this serious problem” and encouraging your 10s of thousands of followers to not vote for the party that won’t immediately end whatever democracy we have, scale up deportations, crush the NLRB, etc. But I guess we disagree.

I don't think the remedy is to elect Donald Trump. I also do not think that's an excuse not to think about this serious problem.

someone needs to take a bit of time away from the “big mean internet” (though I guess if you’ve committed to using your edgelord politics to sell your book maybe you do just have to lean in all the way)

And I guess I get why they're using that line, but "Who would you rather be fighting, Trump or Harris?" does not have an obvious answer, to me.

democracy is when I get what I want

There are also plenty of people just making the argument cynically imo

the “but the arena isn’t being built in Chinatown” line that’s become so popular with supporters of the Sixers’ new arena says everything you need to know about those supporters: they haven’t spent enough time in Philadelphia to understand the ridiculousness of their argument

“simply being a lawyer makes you virtuous”

The basic dynamic with Biden is this: there’s a TikTok-esque meme that he’s senile. The GOP has worked constantly to reinforce that meme. The political media, rather than reporting out the truth of the meme, report on its existence and prevalence, reinforcing it.

Hi, I’m a Black, queer Marxist-Leninist-Maoist that also works within the revolutionary Black Radical Tradition. Marxists don’t support prosecutors under the auspices of “making it easier to organize”, nor do they put stock in elections for the chief executive of imperialism.…

Solidarity with @UNITEHEREPhilly! @Aramark is worth billions, yet refuses to provide living wages and healthcare to the workers who make their profits possible. Protesters disrupted traffic on the Market St bridge to demand a fair contract. If we don’t get it, SHUT IT DOWN! 🗣️🗣️
