Well folks. After 45 years in agriculture I have decided it is time to retire. A lot of good times, good friends and business associates. It has been a lot of things but never boring. I will be watching from the sidelines. Thank you all and take care.

This TLA (JRI) trial near Belmont,MB suffered some pretty harsh conditions this season, but the #DLFPickseed varieties still hung in there and performed great. I did my absolute best to select representative cobs in the trial so here’s what I found below

Another home run for Pickseed corn at the Elk Creek trial site near Lethbridge. Our ExSeedLFRR is almost 12 ft tall with so much leaf and huge cob potential. The 2444RIB isn’t far behind and even the low heat unit 2333RR is holding its own with the best cob development.

Great morning at the @DauphinCoopAg Olszowka Corn Trial, with some fantastic 2320RR, 2333RR and 2420RR silage/grazing varieties on display. Great cob development for this early in the season, considering the growing challenges the corn has been through with drought/stress

Our #DlfPickseed EXTRA LEAFY variety ExSeed LF RR really closes the gap compared to some of the competition, and the cob potential is enormous for a 2450chu variety.

Our 2420RR still has some of the biggest leaves I’ve ever seen on a corn plant, and high silage yielding cobs to go right along with them! #DlfPickseed brings you the best to your silage pile!

More evidence of Pickseed’s ExPand LF RR having an incredible cob. This field was seeded later, so the cobs are still maturing, but the length is undeniable. 14 rows by 54 kernels.

Our Southern AB and BC rep @KDunse found some absolutely amazing @PickseedCanada Expand RR in the Okanagan. Cobs are almost at eye level and have developed to nearly 12” in length. In the last pic is the competing 1047RR on the far right compared to the Expand RR cobs

Did you know an #alfalfa crop releases approx. 200 kg nitrogen per hectare over several years? That means less need for fertilizer now and in the subsequent years. #DYK #EnvironmentalFriendlyCrops

More corruption, more scandals. We can't afford more of the same.
