NGL, 2024 has been one of my least favourite years in games. Aside from the horrible layoffs, nothing really stood out to me this year. I really only played Hellblade 2 and even that was a little underwhelming.
We now live in a timeline where a convicted felon has been re-elected as president and a YOUTUBER won a boxing match against friggin' Mike Tyson. I hate it here.
If there's one thing holding me back from starting a narrative-focused project, it's characters. I have a rough plan on what they look like, as I did with Riot, but I can never establish what their personalities would be. Nobody wants to watch or read something with zero soul.
For years, I’ve always wanted to tell my own Halo story through a Halo 3 machinima, but I could never write anything good or figure out how to get people interested in the idea. SFM animation would take months, if not years, to produce a single episode.
NGL, I feel like I have to do more in the Halo community, such as start my own project like Crash or My Time in ONI. Any ideas?

Comparing Dragon Age: The Veilguard against Origins or even Inqusition, I can totally understand why the former is so divisive amongst fans of the series.
