Last week's team effort... between the farming community, Response Policing and the RCAT we seized 2 vehicles following a hare coursing incident. The only way to stop rural crime is to work together and we're proud to work with these people to get these results!!! #OpGALILEO
Today we've re-homed yet another dog that had been used in hare coursing! This dog's now found its forever, loving home, away from the hare coursing scene, which we are very happy about! If you come hare coursing in Bedfordshire, you definitely risk losing your dog! #OpGALILEO
The PCC met with the @bedspolicerural this week to hear about their achievements and challenges of rural crime. The PCC said: "I learnt so much and have a better understanding of your contribution to tackling crime, making rural communities feel safer and rural economies".

This week we convicted a hare courser of trespassing in pursuit of game (brown hares) with lurcher type dogs. It's only been illegal for 192 years! Brian FURY from Luton was fined £1818.00 - the highest fine we have seen in Bedfordshire for hare coursing to date!
Following increased reports of hare coursing on North Northants and x border with @bedspolicerural @CambsRuralCops with a red quad being used, we have found and seized said quad, used in crime. Investigations ongoin #OpGallileo
As part of the national week of action in relation to Rural Crime, today we are targeting illegal waste carriers, fly-tippers as well as checking on and supporting scrap yards within Bedfordshire. @safercentral @BedfordTweets @EnvAgency
Officers from the Wildlife & Rural Crime Team have prosecuted another 3 people for fishing offences including schedule 1 theft offences and not having a rod licence. It's simple, don't steal and get a rod licence 🐟
We've had several reports of a sheep on the LEIGHTON BUZZARD by-pass over the last few weeks. Today, with the help of a local farmer and his excellent sheep dogs we managed to catch the lamb and return her safely back to her flock #LucyLambIsHome
Today we have used our drone to support our colleagues in 2 major investigations in Bedfordshire as well as using it for our own tasks #ThinBlueLine #OneTeam #Drone
Yesterday we broke into a van (legally I might add!) and found a stolen roller inside. Plant and machinery theft costs this country £800 million a year. Our recovery is a small contribution towards helping prevent this and the investigation is ongoing #theft
The Wildlife & Rural Crime Team are now fully operational with Police Drones and using them creatively to fight crime in the countryside We're also working on another really good job today and will hopefully be able to share our success story a bit later... stay tuned... #drone
We are currently supporting Farm workers in North Bedfordshire. Join our new face book page orlo.uk/rSZME
Yesterday we had Combined Industries Theft Solutions training in relation to stolen plant and machinery. Massive thanks to @DatatagID and @LeicaGeo_UKI for an informative day - we also managed to get a team photo on the way back to base
Our patrols have reported 3 people for fishing with no rod licence on the River Ivel - a rod licence is essential and you can get one on-line and it's cheaper than a fine and you don't lose your fishing tackle 🐟🐟🐟
Come and join us in Shillington at this year's Shillingfest #Shillingfest23 #ruralengagement #shillington
Whilst this warm weather is nice for humans in flipflops, it's not great for our 4 legged friends. If it's too hot for you barefoot, don't make your dog walk on it 🐶
