#BrandonBernard's lawyer just released this statement as the Bureau of Prisons plans to proceed with his execution, expected to begin shortly.
Just some procedural notes on the process as BOP moves forward with #BrandonBernard’s execution. Before the witnesses are brought in, he'll be inside the execution chamber and will be strapped to a gurney in the middle of the room and have an IV inserted in the arm.
Media witnesses, including @mtarm, are being loaded back into the vans and are headed to the execution chamber. Short of President Donald Trump intervening, the execution of #BrandonBernard is expected to proceed shortly.

The Supreme Court just ruled and has denied the request to halt #BrandonBernard’s execution. That clears the way for the execution to proceed & absent a last-minute grant of executive clemency from the president, the Bureau of Prisons will move forward with the execution.
UPDATE: We are again on the move, prison officials helping to oversee #BrandonBernard’s scheduled execution telling us to get in the vans yet again. We could be heading to the death chamber, but haven’t been told that directly. Must leave phone behind. Follow @MikeBalsamo1
