This is how you create readers. Mum was waiting for a friend and sat reading. Doesn't matter what the book is, children are still hearing language, connecting words. It's not a child's book but the baby was engaged.

Part of me thinks this is a good idea but there's also a part of me that hates when bookshops put stickers on books (especially if you can't get them off or they leave a sticky residue).

I regularly had library lessons where I introduced books and read the blurb/opening paragraphs. The majority were borrowed by students afterwards. It's an effective way to introduce students to new books & authors.

This is unprecedented 😳 He came to library after school and said this is the book they read the blurb/extract of in their classroom library lesson today and it sounded good. He read it for half an hour after school, in the car all the way home and as soon as he got changed 😂
