In central #SK we are now seeing single Whooping Crane migratory flocks numbering 60+ individuals. They are finally gathering in size like most other cranes species. Yesterday we saw 100 Whoopers staging in fields.

The skies were full of raptor action today. Both a Harlan's Red-tailed and a Northern Harrier coursed along the ridge for most of the day. Predictably, they came together for a brief encounter.
Loads of Am Robins and Yellow-rumped Warblers enjoyed ideal overnight flying conditions under the auroras to arrive in #YYC this AM. Fruit trees & bugs are now refueling their empty reserves.
