Parents are worried and rightly so. The MH of their kids is in free fall over past decade and a half. But role of social media is peripheral. It’s great @AlboMP is concerned about young people. The urgent need is to hugely strengthen youth MH care @orygen_aus @headspace_aus

@CommunityNotes This is a false claim. There is no body of evidence to back up what our Prime Minister is claiming here. Can we get a correction please? (retweet please everyone, tagging @CommunityNotes)

Good to see belated concern for young people in the face of the global youth mental health crisis. However the evidence doesn’t support this remedy. And it’s a distraction from the main game which is the socioeconomic precarity of YP. And from the urgent need to boost MH care.

@PatMcGorry hi Patrick. Would be interested in your thoughts on the proposed social media ban. When you have time or inclination
