Four of the photos from my first art gallery exhibition that Instagram has recently deleted, even when I blurred butt cracks and other “suspicious” erotic areas.

For the first time, 41 of my full-sized vintage photos are available to purchase. The first 10 (from 1977-85) appear on Insta @bammer47 today. These three are blurred there, but unretouched here.

Have you reconnected with old friends or old flames after a long period of lapsed contact? How did that go? Today’s photos are of Stu Fenton, a Colt Model in the 90s (pic 1). We briefly met at a Fire Island party in 1999 (pic 2) and reconnected 20 years later.

Two more photos from the oeuvre of Carlos Gama, Jr., Brazilian photographer, which he entrusted to me 28 years ago. The kind of industrial mood he evokes in them is akin to that permeating Herb Ritts’ iconic “Fred with tires” series in 1984.

Blurry pics of TM and me camping it up. Taken in my hotel room in Rio de Janeiro during Carnival in 1983. We were dressing to go to a transgender ball which, to our surprise, seemed populated mostly by straight businessmen in bad drag.

Gonna share a few pics over the next few posts that I hadn’t seen since they were taken 40 years ago. Here’s the first, taken in Rio during Carnival in 1983:

Attitudes towards male public nudity in the US have dramatically changed since I was a child in the 50s. See my related Instagram post for more info. Pic #1: from a private gay male “nude movie night” I attended in a San Diego suburba home 2 years ago. The others are historical.

Pics of me taken in 1977 (I was 25) by the only woman I’ve ever had full-on sex with. The pics are from when was she living with me for 3 months. She knew I was gay (as well as the fact that I had a crush on her brother / my best friend)

I joined #MikeBalaban on the BAMMER & Me show to talk about my 56 years of human rights & LGBT+ campaigning 3,000 protests. 100 arrests. 300+ violent assaults. But I'm still campaigning. Retire at 95? LISTEN: podbean.com/pu/pbblog-9ryf… WATCH: youtu.be/AqGqdBuHT88

In Early 1977, while I was living with the only woman I ever went to bed with, we took somewhat revealing photos of each other. I happened to be secretly in love with her brother. To read the full story, click on bammer.co/post/brotherly… This is one of the photos she took of me.

Images of Puerto Vallarta from 30 years ago / the early 90s, taken by Ron Oyer during the gay group excursions he organized and led there (and to Rio, Mykonos & Palm Springs). Instagram deleted the first of these shots for violating its “community standards” (Really???)

First time sharing publicly: photo of me on Fowler Beach in Southampton, NY, taken sometime in the late 80s. As George Costanza said on the popular 90s situation comedy “Seinfeld”: “The water was cold… yes, significant shrinkage.”:) The parrot (?) was borrowed for this shot.

Pic of me (far left) with the “straight” guy I seduced in the Caribbean Sea (at 4 a.m. one night in 1977) and his buddy. We had a torrid 5 day affair. Check out @bammer47 on instagram for the full 2-part story and pics.
