Return-to-office mandates might be a mistake. 4-year study of S&P500: when firms required people to come in, profits failed to climb—while job satisfaction & work-life balance fell. If you want people onsite, don't treat them like toddlers. Make the trip worth their time.

The best way to open people's minds isn't to argue with them. It's to listen to them. When people feel understood, they become less defensive and more reflective—and develop less extreme, more nuanced views. Productive disagreements begin with curiosity, not persuasion.

Crime policy will certainly be an issue in the London mayoral election next year. Hopefully other proposals will be better than this one: pensioners are at much lower risk of burglary than other age groups, and there’s no consistent evidence alarms prevent burglary in any case.

Londoners must feel safe in their own homes. As Mayor, I'd make sure every pensioner in London has access to a free burglar alarm. Hillingdon Council already does this, we should do it across all of London for those over 65. In today's @TheSun ➡️thesun.co.uk/news/politics/…

Believing the myth that "change has to start at the top of an organisation" is an easy excuse to avoid action - a reason to do nothing when you can do something. Change doesn't have to start at the top. Change can come from anywhere. It's about people connecting up with others…
