Australia cannot turn its back on the people of Afghanistan, whose home has been devastated by decades of invasion and conflict. We urgently call on the government to issue 20,000 extra permanent protection visas for Afghan people in fear for their lives.
Pakistan has done a lot for Afghan refugees, taken in more than any other country on earth, & Pakistani troops have lost their lives fighting the Taliban in Pakistan, but segments of the Pakistani intelligence and defense establishments have undoubtedly helped the Afghan Taliban.
Foreign policy matters: After 20 years of U.S. effort, the loss of 2,448 soldiers and a trillion spent, Afghanistan was left with a corrupt government and an ineffectual military. At this moment, we must do everything we can to evacuate our allies and open our doors to refugees.

God help the people there, especially the Hazaras. In 1998, the Taliban massacred several thousand civilians in Mazar-e-Sharif and left many of their bodies to rot unburied in the sun and be eaten by dogs. hrw.org/legacy/reports…

Bottom Line first- The US delivered Afg to Taliban & PAK in a plate. Like all Afghans I am unable to sleep, eat and function as a normal being these days. The word to describe my feelings doesn't exist in the dictionary. Here is what I thnk. A thread:
