Rent rises everywhere. 48% on average in the EU over the last decade. Only really Finland bucking the trend. Maybe that's in part because 70% of the land in the capital, Helsinki, is publicly owned, allowing for the prioritisation of social need?

Housing prices in the EU rose by 48% on average in less than 10 years, creating difficulties for many Europeans. The EU sees tackling this issue as one of its priorities. Find out more: europa.eu/!VcJgjP

Great book by Andrej Holm presenting a clear Marxist analysis of the housing question, a refreshing reading of Engels' pioneering writings on the same issue, and concluding with feasible political proposals to alleviate it (only in German and Spanish, I guess). @katakrak54

There's politics in academic citations, but also complex and paradoxical issues. This worth reading article draws on feminist and decolonial approaches to reflect on the opacities of 'corrective citation'.

“Even the most well intentioned and carefully considered acts of corrective citation can potentially enact injustice.” Maria do Mar Pereira @SocioWarwick @CSWGWarwick on the limitations of citation in disrupting academic hierarchies. #OpenAccess buff.ly/407MH6l
