A crosswalk of commuters. What may initially appear as a crowd of people, this image can be used to represent concepts not visible to the naked eye, like biological crowds: microbiome, neurotransmitters, amino acids, nucleotides. What do you see? #sciartportfolioweek

Anyone interested in writing pieces about the intersection or art - science, science - art? #phdchat #AcademicTwitter #ArtistOnTwitter
I do graphic design as well. So I often get creative when I’m working on how to present my data/figures/models 😊
I see it in #scicomm, but it should be more. People not in the field have no idea what we do, what we know, and what we can teach. Good graphic design has so much more power when it comes to communicating our work, scientific papers don't cut it
I’m a firm believer science is full of creativity: experiments and well-crafted academic papers are works of art. Where do you see the intersection of science and art? #phdlife @AcademicChatter
