I was a 5:15 miler. Now that was flying. I didn’t train for the mile but I wish I had, I wanted sub 5 mins. I think I could have gotten it my training shifted from the 5k to the mile. I miss the 1 mile race tremendously.

If training is strategic for each distance, you don’t need to over do it. Always quality over quantity. Junk miles are a problem most people don’t understand.
