Yesterday consisted of resting and doing some back planning for agendas and other prep. Today, I’m hitting a Sept. to do list for school along with catching up on YouTube videos. Lots to do while I sit here with #covid #Teachersof𝕏 #BackToSchool2024
Well, school started. I felt sick on week 3, and bam, Covid! Week 4 is now spent sitting at home!
2 1/2 weeks into the year, and I was hit with sinus crud! Started with partially losing my voice! Hoping I’m on the mend now! Thankful for the long weekend. Fixing to do some prep for the next few weeks!
Monday has been…. Long! My students did better. Still some kinks to work out. Still super tired. Trying to get ahead for my weekend trip. Lots to do this week including certification exams for leadership stuff. Any other #Teachersof𝕏 feeling the exhaustion?
Slept in a little yesterday and today. Still tired. First full week of school plus back to school night has me exhausted! Did school prep yesterday and more today since I won’t be able to next weekend. I wanna get ahead.
First full week is done! I’m exhausted! We had back to school night Monday with meetings throughout the week! Now to do some lesson planning and REST this weekend!

First 3 days of 2nd are finished! I think it’s 163 more! My group was a little more chatty today, but they are sweet kids. Hoping the best lets up for outside play soon! Tomorrow, my parents, husband, and I are going to a children’s benefit concert (Sawyer Brown). Plus sleeping!
Yesterday, the 2nd grade team planned all day! Today, the kids came again! They were a little less nervous and more chatty. We chatted about our families and favorite things today. Tomorrow is bullying talks and beginning of the year DIBELS tests!
Yep other things from today: 1. A puppy was found barking in a drain. He was rescued. 2. Someone left a door open. We are surrounded my fields. A snake was found on the hall near my classroom! Umm…. NO!! Glad my door is always shut! #Teachersof𝕏
Today, I got to see a lot of my kiddos from last year, but one made my morning. He struggled w/behavior & had many talks with me last year. As busses unloaded, I heard him hollering for me! I was wrapped in the biggest hug & told how much he missed me! Made my heart happy!
Day 1 ☑️ My class did really well! Little chatting & wiggling but not bad! They are excited to learn! Tomorrow is lesson planning. Kids come back Thurs! Looking forward to watching this group grow this year! But I’m exhausted! 😂 😴 #Teachersof𝕏 #teachertired
