Sugar extraction from sugar beets was invented in 1747 in Germany, and the first sugar beet factory was opened in 1801 in Poland. When you support Canadian sugar beets, you are also supporting a long history of this crop! #ABSugar22 #SugarBeets #AlbertaSugarBeetGrowers #Alberta
