Why did my sims just quit her job and then get a new one while i was playing on a different sim. This is why they say never leave your sims alone 😭😭

ive been waiting 5 days for sims4 to download, it took 2 days for the actual sims to download. I was having problems with EA a couple nights ago so it logged me out while i was at work which didn't do anything. Mind you I have 34 other packs. I have 7 more to go though!
