I've long enjoyed being part of the karate and martial arts community here, but Twitter is not really in my future. You can find AppliedKarate at our website, and on the Fediverse at @appliedkarate@micro.blog

Cat ears for Halloween, as I finish one film shoot to head to the next. I passed a tiny back-alley coffee stand on the way to the station, so of course I had to refill my thermos. I purchased 200g of beans, too. The master was a pleasant, happy little man living his hobby!

Dear @SpaceForceDoD, I have a question to ask, if it’s OK. I’m just a nobody here but I was wondering; is it true that the commanding officer onboard a “Space Force” ship is designated a Colonel & not a Captain? 😳🤷🏼‍♂️ Is this up for debate? I think I’d like to debate the issue.😉

This is an insightful review. The review author finds that the book author attributes a text to a Tai Chi pioneer, when clearly it is a much older text. What is happening? Did the Tai Chi person make a mistake, or the book author? Hoping for a follow-up!

It's a pity we won't be able to enjoy the matsuri this year like we usually do, but with O-bon on the calendar, we can still enjoy the hottest month of summer with spooky ghost tales that send welcome chills down the spine. This is August in Japan. #summerinjapan #august #8月

Hey, this is your regular reminder that it’s ok to not know things. And it’s ok for the experts to not know either. The very best experts are comfortable saying “I don’t know” Charlatans and grifters have a definitive answer for everything, however.

COVID19 can be more severe if you're affected by metabolic syndrome -factors including large waist, raised blood pressure, blood sugar levels or cholesterol... I would suggest switching to a Mediterranean-style diet. - @DrMichaelMosley What this comprises: yourhealthyliving.co.uk/michael-mosley

A very good book indeed. Heartily endorse the recommendation that all Karateka should read (and re-read) this book
