At Sports Illustrated, I’ve met the most inspiring, diligent, and kind people in journalism. People w/ integrity. In some way, we’re all trying to pay it forward to the awe-struck kids we used to be when the magazine came in the mail. And we’ll keep doing so til we’re told not to

For the last six years, 21 y/o surfer Tony Laureano has taken on Nazaré’s world famous 100-foot waves. His father is often charged with his son’s harrowing rescue. My story for @SInow si.com/more-sports/20…

In Nazaré, Ramon Laureano brought me on a jetski under the world’s most terrifying waves. It’s his daily routine as a big-wave surf rescuer, where the most harrowing rescue from 100-foot swells is always his 21 y/o son Tony. For @SInow this is their story si.com/more-sports/20…

Without Karim Benzema or Kylian Mbappé, what happens when a club known for superstar scorers presses forward without one? Welcome to a rarity in modern soccer: a year of Real Madrid without a star striker, @aogastelum writes trib.al/rJBnfsJ

For Luis Rubiales to do this to Jenni Hermoso during the proudest moment of her career, stood next to Spain's royal family, and with the world's media watching, makes me sick. The complete audacity. Reminder that this is the leader of a federation that failed to back its players

The concerning fact here is the nonchalant manner Rubiales behaves towards Hermoso. The FA president does this on the biggest stage of the sport with royalty and officials near him, surrounded by cameras. Very disturbing, and frankly, concerning.

It's an awful day at SI, as we're saying goodbye to some amazingly talented colleagues who have done so much great work here and made this place what it is. People who have made this a home for me and become true friends.

Devastated…Freelancing right out of school, I once emailed for advice—he called immediately without even knowing me. For years he always checked in, he always made time. Grant deeply cared in a world that doesn’t care enough. A model in empathy/kindness who will be dearly missed

We are heartbroken that former Sports Illustrated senior writer Grant Wahl died while covering the World Cup in Qatar. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this tragic time. trib.al/1Wuwx48
