Its a good time of year to find flowering weeds. Which of those in the attached images are correctly labelled? @agronomytrainer @Kingston22W @Lucy_delaP @jsedgwick67 @Knaggsy16 @fenboy01 @Cereals_Ana @greyfergie77 @deniseinmilden @mrlancrop @hankoblok @BillyHoddy @angela_huckle

Bit of a contrast in the weather from East Anglia to East Scotland this week. Onions under the sunny clear blue skies in Suffolk to set up the @SyngentaUK fungicide trial with @JamesEKlug Then into the mists of Scotland for the @ICL_SG controlled release N trial on broccoli 🥦 🌰

Two days of potato trial views across East Anglia. Crops are growing fast and keeping me very busy. These trials are looking at various approaches to supplying crop nutrition. Oh, and a potato flower, because I love that view when they flower. 🥔 🌸

Any farmers in Notts area potentially able to host a soil pit for BSSS Early careers soil scientists? Please RT

Can you help us! 📢 We may or may not have a soil judging competition on the EC horizon (pun intended, yep👀). Do you know any farmers/organizations/opportunities in the #Nottinghamshire area where we may be able to host some soil pits? @Soil_Science

As with others, we've been held up by the weather. But, it's good to get trials season 2024 underway, finally! With 2 trials for @ICL_SG on controlled release N. Not the most thrilling photos ever, but quite exciting for me 😁

Final trial harvest of 2023 complete with @JamesEKlug & @harrysparrow 🥳. 7 weeks after the final spray @SyngentaUK treatments still reduce ring spot compared to the UTC. Impressed that my sparkly gel nails survived harvesting, but my sock suffered from a welly loss in the mud 😂

Back in the field today to assess @SyngentaUK fungicide trial. The mild weather we've had (till now🥶) and leaf wetness has created perfect conditions for dark leaf spot to develop in the untreated (Left 📷). 4 weeks after the final spray, the best treatments remain pretty clean.

A change from the field today @Agri_Tech_E #REAP2023 conference. Lots of innovative projects being developed. The photos show just a small snapshot of the research and products presented.

A great morning with the Vegetable Consultancy Association and Dr Simon Bowen from BBRO @BBRO_Beet

Sunday dragging and pressing with classic #MasseyFerguson power. Such a dramatic difference to the current horrendously wet conditions in Scotland.

The last 2 days have been very carrot 🥕 based. First the @BritishGrowers @CarrotGrowers field day. A good day as always. Then sampling and assessing a free living nematode trial. Full Deben team effort, plus Matt helping from Strawsons 💪😁
