Well #flamesihc gave it their best shot and bossed period 3 but #sheffieldsteelers showed why they are by miles the best team this year. Well done to them but our crowd was loud and proud, and our team were worthy of the support. Oh and the atmosphere was kicking too.
Scored my first ever goal last night playing ice hockey! It was from the blueline much as I would like to claim a ripper it skidded across ice caught a defenders skate and dribbled in . Still having it. I’m now rubbish but with a goal to my name .
Football. Charlton are on the xxth generation of being below par , poorly managed and slumping into mediocrity yet again. They really need to start again. This never ending merry go round of manager, players and owners is killing the club slowly
Sporting takes at beginning of year. Hockey.. Sheffield are a fantastic team. Only Flames are even close to matching them , Belfast have lost plot and Cardiff dont like physical hockey. Guildford have blown hot and cold though so who knows?

Tedesco was on fire for Flames last year. Off he headed to Belfast. Since then he couldn’t hit a cow’s arse with a banjo. He made both us and Belfast worse this year which is weird but true .
Tedesco leaving made @flamesicehockey a worse team. Him joining @BelfastGiants made them a worse team. However only one of those two sides is paying him to make them worse. Not for long though, I'm sure when roster 2.0 is announced he will be gone.
Weirdly the 1 season in the last 3 that Charlton have not been totally dire both Guildford and Calgary flames are having a shocker of monumental proportions.
There are lots of people who I suggest have never skated, let alone played hockey at any level claiming a lot of bollocks about intent. There isnt a player out there that has not lost control and their feet gone 4 foot up in the air, or had a skate fly past their nose in a check
If you playing hockey and the kit is there please don’t feel embarrassed to use it. Even rec hockey. I know there will be the odd moron who will take the piss but any decent person will accept that you are entitled to protect yourself and it doesn’t make you any less of a player
Guildford flames currently suck. Slow transitions and poor in D. Toothless up top. We need changes fast. Our keepers are standing on their heads just to keep defeats respectable . Feel for them.
Dear @LeeValleyLions , please find a rink that actually wants you. You deserve so much more than @leevalleyice are willing to offer. 100 supporters total and no car parking? They are taking the piss.
Well the bruises are subsiding. I played my first proper Hockey game this weekend at Cardiff. I fell over a bit, I am still a total novice, but I am now a hockey player. Thanks to Cardiff Dragons who were a great match for us, and the result of 2 each was probably fair. I ache.
This weekend sees me and my support/assistant @Lewiswh_ head to Wales to take on @lukesterryx and his Dragons in a (ice) hockey match. My first "proper" game. Whatever the result I am sure we will have a good time. Not sure my aging body will keep up with the young'uns though
Wow. Theres some serious saltiness in bits of EIHL land. 1. Belfast won everything cos they were over the season the best team. 2. There isn't a team that wouldn't have Conway in a heartbeat. 3. Hes quality and if you chirp him expect a response. He earned the right.
My puck control sucks. So does my skating. Maybe I should have tried hockey at 15 and not 55! Still its a challenge. I do like a challenge. I dont like being crap though! I need more ice time with a twig in my hand, but its hard to come by. Last night I regressed 2 pants again 😕
Really sad to hear about Basingstoke Bison. That ice rink however is a liability and needs sorting. The thing is planet ice and the council have been arguing about who pays for years and its come to this. Shambolic. It is dangerous to skate on , let alone try and play hockey
