Here's the Global Edmonton segment about my story! I transformed my health and figured out the unique key to my unique lock, enabling permanent weight loss. Luuze (luuze.com) was designed to help you reflect so you could do the same.

When his son was born five years ago, Andrew Luu weighed 250 pounds and had dangerously high blood pressure. Not only has he lost 100 pounds and kept it off, he's also developed an app to help others do the same. @SuLingGoh explains. #yeg #yegfitness #yegfit

This is an incredible quote from 🇨🇦Leylah Fernandez discussing the "tears, sweat and sacrifices" to get to this moment of being in the #USOpen final. A wonderful reminder to never give up and to not let the doubters dissuade you from achieving your dreams:

There’s a lot of truth in this tweet. However, we can change our environment to make it easier. Weight = environment + physiology + mentality. (lots of comments in this thread from people with good genes). Change what you can, I did and lost 100 lbs.

100%. Maximize that Joy to Calorie Ratio: luuze.com/eat-whatever-y…

I understand saying “food is fuel” and not caring what your food tastes like when in your 20’s You feel like you will live forever and have infinite meals ahead of you In your 40s you know your meals are limited Each one is precious and you damn sure don’t want to waste any

Yes, genetics matter. But we all have an opportunity to progress towards a healthier weight. luuze.com/three-ways-to-…

I appear to have most of the genetic polymorphisms that predispose one to being obese Makes sense, I was obese 13 years ago I am far from obese now. You can overcome your genes. Don’t buy into the hype that you can’t change your life/health because of your genes

Low carb/keto is a tool Fasting = tool Tracking food/exercise = tool Counting calories = tool Higher protein = tool Not all tools are right for all applications (people) And the wrench doesn’t argue with the screwdriver when the screwdriver is the best tool for the job

I had the privilege of being interviewed by @CarrieADoll this week on her Inner Circle Podcast - it was super fun and such a honor! Check it out below: podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/the…

I'm back from a week at my mom's house and now I'm getting ads for her toothpaste brand, the brand I've been putting in my mouth for a week. We never talked about this brand or googled it or anything like that. As a privacy tech worker, let me explain why this is happening. 🧵

An important thread. If you are struggling with optimizing a diet, try to keep it simple and eat less by putting less on your plate and not getting seconds. You’ll start to fill the plate with more satiating foods (generally healthier foods) naturally.

The common dietary thread among all long lived populations is they don't chronically overeat. In fact, many employ some form of fasting or caloric restriction. Spending time in energy deficit is likely the most important dietary lever to pull. Not some magic/super foods

You can’t eat well and be well if you don’t think well. Your thoughts & mindset matters. A negative mind can contribute to negative health.

I love personality assessments. This is a great one from @RayDalio, and it's free to boot: do it! His book, Principles, is one of the best books I've read as well. I found out my personality is most like the Quiet Leader. Take the test here: principlesyou.com/archetypes/qui…

"People who excel tend to obsess over the details. People who struggle also tend to obsess over the details. The difference is what details they focus on. Minutiae vs polish. Most things don’t matter—but when it does, you want to get the details right." –@JamesClear

This is what I did at the beginning of my 100 lb weight loss journey, which started just with weighing myself daily and not really anything else. I call it the 2 to 20 to 200 minute rule - nail down the 2 minute habit and success before moving to the next level.

When you feel like you’re constantly failing, do one thing: Identify a specific success you CAN achieve today. “Get to work on time.” “Speak up at a meeting.” “Email 5 perspective clients.” This one, small thing will jumpstart your confidence. Repeat tomorrow.
