Aunty Lily (my mum’s aunt) was 100 today. She used to live upstairs in the apartment above my nanny and when we’d visit her on Saturday we’d always pop upstairs at some point to say hello to Aunty Lily
Really encouraging night North Belfast Christian Fellowship as David Burke was inducted as pastor. I got to bring greetings on behalf of the Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland (and express personal thanks for Gareth Burke and the EPs). God has been kind to this work
I was at a brilliant day yesterday on the subject of criticism A few thoughts 🧵 Nobody handles criticism constructively when they are at the limit of their emotional capacity Church ministers tend to live permanently at the outside edge of their emotional capacity
This Wednesday we having a joint meeting with @BallykeelChurch @LisburnBaptist and Craigavon at @ebclisburn John Bell from Zimbabwe will be with us- he spoke the evening Bethany Baptist sent Jonny Atkinson and myself out to train for ministry Tea/coffee @7:30pm meeting @8pm
It has been so encouraging to have men go down each week from @ebclisburn to Hope Church in Naas Ireland to preach. We are so thankful to have watched God work in Naas and see how He has developed our own men in their ability to handle the word of God
I’ve been on the board for @gracetoyou Europe for over a decade Much good has been done but the last few years the board worked to translate the MacArthur Study Bible to Romanian Paul+Diana Mitchell and Faclia publishing did an amazing job-an incredible gift to the church
Great to be at the unveiling of the Ulster History Circle to William Tennent at my home congregation of Vinecash Presbyterian. William Tennent worshiped at Vinecash and had his son Gilbert baptised there before setting sail for America and founding the Log College.

Finished the day with Biserica Baptista Cioburciu after a bumpy drive down a long road we found a remote village and found a church full of warm believers were I got to preach They meet twice on a Sunday and then for prayer every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday #PowerHouseOfChurch

2weeks ago I preached at Lake Rd Chapel Keswick+some youth meetings organised by Wes Brewer Encouraged to see how he is working to evangelise+foster fellowship among young Christians spread over a wide area I think this is the oldest established congregation I’ve preached in
