Agreed. Growing up as mixed race @SunderlandAFC fan (mascot twice) I always felt on edge about the lack of non white faces. The last few years have really improved so it would be a shame do it to regress due to a few thugs.
Right now, Sunderland AFC has the most culturally diverse squad of players I can remember, and I think that’s something to be proud of. Tonight’s riots send an appalling message, but those involved don’t represent the city, its people, or our fans. Everyone should know this.
