Josh's mother caused him serious harm because she had a psychiatric disorder. All of the children I have worked with are like Josh, who is telling his story to help you to understand why children are removed & protected from harmful parents by the family court.
Finally some sensible media reporting about #childabduction and #parentalalienation
Inside one family court battle over a child now settled in Northern Cyprus. @simonisrael reports. channel4.com/news/inside-on…
This thread explain perfectly what’s happened to my child.
1. Whilst many parents whose children are aligned to them will say that they want their child to have a relationship with the rejected parent, closer scrutiny will often show that a child is in a double bind position.
I’m at a work event and have just spent 2 hours listening to colleagues talk about their kids over dinner. When asked about mine I lie and say he is fine. It’s impossible to explain how painful this is. #ParentalAlienation
This is my third Christmas without my son. I would like to say it gets easier but it doesn’t really. I mourn for all the time we have lost and will never get back.
Please keep doing what you are doing @woodallthoughts Your work is so important.
After another weekend of speculation by the same set of people found by the High Court to be trying to destabilise my work, I will just say this. I’m not frightened of you, I’m not silenced by you and I’m not going to stop exposing the child abuse you are trying to hide.
A mother made “an ENTIRELY FALSE ALLEGATION” that the father had a sexual interest in his daughter, causing SIGNIFICANT EMOTIONAL HARM to her child, and you focus on discrediting the expert who, supported by a regulated clinical psychologist, rightly recommended transfer of care?
Brilliant reporting by @hansummers as it shines a light on the practices happening behind the closed doors of family court. Once again, a judge accepts the recommendation of an unregulated expert and rules that child should be removed from mother’s care, against child’s wishes ⬇️
It is tragic that a mother falsely accuses a father of having a sexual interest in child & instills that view into the child, yet your only concern is the regulation of the expert, who’s own assessment was then validated by other experts.. the child is being harmed by her mother

My Experience is Real: Listening to the Voices of Formerly Alienated Children Who Were Removed From Abusive Parents in Residence Transfer karenwoodall.blog/2023/11/27/my-…
This.
1. The polarised fight over parental alienation is unnecessary - children are NOT removed from mothers and given to abusive fathers by unregulated experts diagnosing PA, they are removed from abusive parents & placed with healthy parents they have been prevented from being with.
Thank you @woodallthoughts for articulating everything I want to say about this story when I cannot think straight due to feeling so triggered by it

This is such important research.
These findings lend support to the theory that PABs are part of a pattern of coercively controlling abuse. These behaviours must be recognized and addressed to ensure victims of abuse are provided with appropriate protection and treatment. link.springer.com/article/10.100…
Parents who were found to have alienated their child(ren) were 81.62% more likely than alienated parents to have a substantiated claim of abuse against them. Alienated parents were 86.05% more likely than alienating parents to have an unsubstantiated abuse claim against them.

1. When working with children who align and reject tand particularly when that presentation lasts over long periods and becomes entrenched and highly defensive, including perhaps allegations which escalate, the problem we are treating is alienation in as well as of children
