Finished the new @jandynelson novel (out in September) last night and was once again, floored by the writing. The level of detail on the characters' inner lives is seriously second to none๐ฅฐ Full review to come on the blog.

Was in the mood for it this morning, so started writing what was in my brain. What came out was just so... grey and depressing. Either my writing has entered its sad girl era or I'm heading for a mental break. Could it be both? Oh, the fun.
The boy has his first OFSTED inspection today. Obviously I know he'll ace his part in it but doesn't stop me being slightly anxious for him, so apparently we share emotions now.
