For the #fsharp code of today, let's wrap a websocket connection in an IObservable<T> Personally, I don't like fire and forget async things, but I kind of wanted just to get it out I'll figure out later when I clearly need to change this, and I won't be able 😌

Dynamically typed devs: Do they have superhuman cognitive ability and can remember the shape of all objects in a codebase? Or they are actually operating at 0.1-0.5x speed and too stubborn to deal with the temporary local minimum needed to learn how to write type-checked code?

I'm very much a dynamic type-checking and REPL person rather than a static type-checking and misery person.

Very interesting portrait of the “I don’t know but I know better” aka the soldier mindset, instead of the scout mindset “I will try it and then compare thanks” , an advice to everyone ... Aka intellectual honesty. Most people are intellectually dishonest

After a quick look: · Agressive pre-loading pages on hover · fixed image dimensions - there is no layout shift when they load · Dependency Injection - only loading the JS needed on the pages where its needed · Uses pushstate to change pages so it feels faster than a full reload…

Java first came out with a suite of tools that was ahead of its time. You could package your software, document it, and so forth. Over time, some of the very best environments were built to serve the Java ecosystem. But it turned into a curse. Yesterday, I'm setting up a simple…
