BREAKING: Richmond police report 20-year-old VCU student Cody Woodson was shot and killed on Monday evening on Gilmer Street, according to a university release. Story upcoming.

.@theCT calls for the expulsion of VCU's Delta Chi chapter and a crackdown on hazing. "If the university allows a reckless group of insecure young men to resume their dangerous activities anywhere near VCU's campus, it will happen again — simply put." commonwealthtimes.org/2021/03/10/sta…

I had the privilege of writing a front page story for @theCT about Adam Oakes, the VCU freshman who died from hazing at a Delta Chi event. Thank you to his family for speaking with me. Rest in peace, Adam ❤️ commonwealthtimes.org/2021/03/03/ada…

Adding to the confusion, people who are incarcerated have the same questions about the COVID-19 vaccine many of us do that they can't get answered. That is unfair, dangerous, and an urgent issue that needs to be addressed.

About half of Virginia’s prisoners have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, but some say conditions are punitive and that the vaccine rollout isn’t going so smoothly. Many miss seeing their families. My latest (and last) for @vcucnswashingtonpost.com/local/prisoner…

Starting therapy this week. It took a while for me to warm up to it, but I realized this stuff can’t be put off for long. If you’re thinking about talking to a professional, do it. We all deserve to take care of ourselves these days.

Hi everyone. I’ll be live tweeting coverage from the Capitol today. So far it’s been relatively quiet with other journalists and a substantial police presence. Here’s Bank street near the Capitol.

Classes in VCU’s life sciences center and several nearby buildings were forced to evacuate as crews responded to the blaze this morning. “I went room to room, pounding on the doors, telling people to leave.” — Dr. Tim Bajkiewicz, broadcast journalism professor

VCU officials are investigating the cause of the fire and assessing water damage on the building's second and third floors, per a release. No injuries have been reported. commonwealthtimes.org/2020/11/18/lif…
