I hate living in a different state than the one I grew up in bc I have to explain the regional memes to my coworkers.
It was never really about protecting the fetus, more like punishing the mother.
The level of misinformation in all directions at this moment is incredibly high, especially on this platform. If you see a claim, photo, or video that triggers a strong emotional reaction, take a moment to pause and check for veracity/confirmation from multiple sources.
1) You're just never going to give me information that makes me say "Now I see why Hamas had to kill those kids." 2) You're never going to give me information that makes me say "Now I see why it's fair to kill Palestinian kids." I don't see why this is hard.
I stand with Israeli and Palestinian civilians. The Israeli government is a colonial apartheid state. Hamas is a terrorist group. They are both wrong.
The population of Gaza is about 2 million. Nearly half are children. Millions of innocent people cannot be made to pay for Hamas’ horror. Collective punishment is a war crime. So are blockades to food and water. We cannot allow dehumanization to descend into further atrocity.
