Who all has one of these? 🤣
I had to LOL at this I can totally imagine putting this on a slide for a uni class and hearing some giggles but they would not forget it :)
Fast changing is not equal to improving! Until we learn how to measure the value of our work we'll just keep building new tools and programming languages to sustain an illusion of improvement.
Please tell me I'm wrong, but did we reinvent ORMs on the service level and call it GraphQL? Should I be expecting the Visual FoxPro team to build a TypeScript IDE in the near future, too??
Uniscale CTO Svein Arne Ackenhausen puts it best: Software architecture is a consequence of problem-solving, not a pre-defined plan. "We must build with the understanding that at any point, we might be wrong, and we need the agility to course correct." #AxonIQCon24
One of the worst things you can do as a manager, is to make someon believe they're doing a good job when they are not. You're setting them up for failure in the long term. And you, as their manager, are being a coward by not confronting the situation. You'll hurt them much more.
I'm going all out old school with breakfast cooking today 😋
LOL someone sent this to me ... it was when I named refucturing. youtube.com/watch?v=1FPsJ-…
That there is no live stream from the VAR room as it is on EVERY other decisive factor of the game is a goldmine for corruption! I'm not saying there is yet, but any decisive body not open for transparency is wide open for manipulation. It's a fact of life for us humans.
I said it last week but state machines are a lost art. We make them all the time but in the worst ways & often not explicitly. Just by modelling a bunch of objects and events or vaguely connected micro services and lambdas. Simplicity comes if you think in state machines IMO.
Mother f.. @komplettno sold me a Fold 3. Screen breaks after 4 months and they tell me it's 8000 to fix it because "I crushed it myself". Lying scumbags.. Never again!!
Always wondered where they got that look from
That some giant phallus who by some freak accident grew arms, legs, reallocated some hair and then got a nation to make it president is something I have to deal with in my life blows my mind. Just because some coagulated jizz made an executive order I can't buy the phone I want..
I'm getting that feeling again but I simply refuse to fall for it. No more roll my own tool!
I wish I could make monday.com do what I want. If it just took me 80% of the way I would be happy but 60ish is close but no sigar. I really want this tool to be awesome. Hopefully it can get me that 20% before I lose it.
