Nigerian scholars, academics and writers tend to be the most conservative enablers of the toxic status quo. If you try to hold them accountable, they gaslight you. They are beneficiaries of the bigotry of low standards, the West tends to let us off the hook, because Western…
Wole Soyinka is 89 years old. He's lived a remarkable life, but he doesn't speak for Nigeria's future, he speaks for its past.
“The great simultaneous show of sound, shape, image, color, celebrity and spectacle that constitutes the contemporary [Nigerian Christian] experience.”* Our perversion and moral cowardice writ large. 1)
You know what’s hypocrisy to me? Smiling with thieving politicians. Refusing to stand up to them or demand Justice and better governance. Instead, floating social advocacies & charities that your govt. partners/friends have gulped the allocation for. It will never make sense…
So happy for Jamal Murray @BeMore27 Deserved this title since those 50 point games vs Utah in 2020 #NBAFinals
By selling democracy and governance issues short, London and Washington have inadvertently undermined their countries’ own interests in Nigeria, writes @MatthewTPage (@AfricaProg). chathamhouse.org/2023/03/nigeri…
What Pa Ikhide said on April 1, 2015 after it was clear that Buhari had won. Sadly, it was no April Fool’s joke. I wish you all had proven me wrong! ————— O Beautiful People Many people have asked me my opinion on the change of baton between the PDP and the APC, that breakaway…

“I supported Peter Obi, the Labour Party candidate, and hoped he would win, as polls predicted, but I was prepared to accept any result, because we had been assured that technology would guard the sanctity of votes …” instagram.com/p/CqtA7TkriJd/
Watford’s Ken Sema suffers with a stutter, but he bravely came out and did the post-match interview last night... ❤️ This will really help a lot of people. Anyone who suffers with a stammer knows how hard and deflating it can be. Brilliant @Semaken! 👏
You already know @PeterObi is going to make a good president! 13 more days to bring this home 🗳️
We are pushing through towards TBS. We're now on the Lagos Road Walk: the turn out is awesome. I'm really humbled! -PO
Full Question and Answer session by Peter Gregory Obi at Chatham House, London. As you can see, he did NOT delegate questions to anyone, and no one needs to defend him on National TV afterwards. #CHAfrica #PeterObiInChathamHouse #PeterObi4President2023
We are going to dismantle the confusion in Ports Administration and get this country to work. Fuel subsidy is an organised crime and I will remove it immediately, if I am elected President. Which reasonable country will spend more on subsidy than Education, Health etc. - PO
an interesting poll
The average Nigerian politician is created from a feudal system of patronage and corruption. Those taking money from candidates to prop them up today will also be candidates tomorrow. They will pay others to continue the cycle. There is now an opportunity to break this cycle.
Peter Obi's movement isn't driven by opportunists who are hustling for attention, clout and financial benefits from a wide range of influential actors (Nigerian politicians, Western diplomats, Western think tanks etc.). It is driven by youths, passionate for change.
