He was a *serving* police officer. He handcuffed her and took her away in the back of his car, citing his authority *as a police officer*. The Met are desperate for us to refer to him as their “ex” officer. He wasn’t. He was one of theirs.

just because the met police fired wayne couzens after his arrest does not mean they get to call him a 'former' police officer. he was a serving officer when he killed sarah everard and tactically used his powers to do so. they don't get to be absolved of that responsibility
