It was said of a man named John who announced the coming of the kingdom, that he was strong in spirit. So must any man be, who wants to advance the kingdom.
It is my conviction that unless a man learns to express his spirit, he cannot worship in spirit.
A man who knows how to express his soul but not his spirit is like a man walking with one leg.
For a man to learn to express his soul is good; for a man to learn to express his soul and his spirit is better.
Unusual responsibilities can require unusual resources from the soul of a man. Failing to recognise this is a recipe for poor mental health.
I am convinced that unless a man is conscious of his spirit, he cannot rely on the Spirit of God.
As with any other part of his anatomy, a man becomes conscious of his spirit by using it.
Flesh and blood cannot enter the Kingdom of God. Neither can a man grow in the Kingdom without an appreciation of his spirit….and through his spirit, the Spirit of God.
In their infancy, both Jesus and John the Baptist became “strong in spirit”. This is a path for anyone who wants to grow in the kingdom of God.
It is my conviction, that unless a man is conscious of his own spirit, he will not be conscious of the Holy Spirit within him.
If Jesus, being equal to God, was preoccupied with the presence of His Father….how much more should we.
Tasks that are not clearly defined can be a source of stress on the schedule of a man.
A man in Christ has all he needs for life and godliness but without the perspectives gained in the presence of God, he will be unable to make use of it.
Taking responsibility for outcomes he cannot control can be a major source of stress in the soul of a man.
An outcome is OK on the schedule of a man, as long as achieving it is wholly within his control.
A wise man makes his schedule from actions he can take….and avoids taking responsibility for outcomes he cannot control.
An agenda set by adrenalin will be likely to over-exert a man.
The rules a man uses to set his agenda can protect him from the extremes of adrenalin.
It can be a temptation for a man to set his agenda by adrenalin.
