In this 2023 paper, Hsiung and Skikic of @VUMCPsych describe a case of cycloid psychosis, which is marked by episodic, acute psychoses followed by periods of full remission (as in affective disorder). DSM has not yet identified it as a distinct entity. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37449832/
