The video games industry giveth and the video games industry taketh

:O Blizzard just announced they are rebooting WoW Classic with fresh realms - next week! I played way too much ~20 years ago (~150 days of game time), on my fully decked out Mage (RIP). A lot of memories and nostalgia... I can't see how I won't be tempted. Just a little bit :)

We'll soon be at a point where writing prose by tabbing in Cursor is better than any OS-level autocorrect/autocomplete

Cursor is the future of AI coding. I'm honored to join the Cursor team and work with them to create the most useful developer tool in the world.

So excited to be working with @jbfja and the Supermaven team! There are only two companies in the world that have shipped models with 1M+ token windows: Google Deepmind and Supermaven.

Emerging domains benefit more from a few highly optimized core primitives (eg foundational data structures, fast interpreters), while established domains gain more from tuning specialized, concrete use cases (eg hardware intrinsics, FFI done in faster lang). The medium shapes…

Yo @henrikruscon, does Alcove have a Yoink-like functionality? I'd like to drag & drop temporary files into/out of the island

There's a future where game trailers are generated with early game assets. The discrepancy between the trailer and the final game would increase by quite a bit if we don't figure out a way to use these techniques in the game itself

Its so over. And china strikes again as the first one. GameGen-X: We introduce GameGen-X, the first diffusion transformer model specifically designed for both generating and interactively controlling open-world game videos. This model facilitates high-quality, open-domain…

requestAnimationFrame callbacks run at a certain point within the render steps. If you're currently before that point, it'll run before the next render. If you're after that point, it'll run before the render-after-next. …

Can anyone help understand browser requestAnimationFrame behavior? Reply if you see: - the first vertical strip change after the baseline strip (if so, you might wanna switch to a different browser lol) - the second vertical strip sometime, or always, be delayed - any other funny…

Can anyone try this on their browser? The 2rd square's color change should be 1 frame delayed. But sometime it changes at the same time than the first 2? codepen.io/Cheng-Lou/pen/… is there's no guaranteed repaint between 2 requestAnimationFrame across different frames?

So eh has anyone asked Claude to start using Claude.ai in a loop? Might as well code its own UI after browsing and show it to you in a new tab lol
