A+ courtroom sketching once again by the 🐐, Jane Rosenberg.

Rudy Giuliani was rebuked by a federal judge after the former New York City mayor interrupted a court hearing, pleading he could not pay his bills because two Georgia election workers to whom he owes $148 million have tied up his assets reut.rs/49aVEy4

Gov. Hochul to relaunch congestion pricing with $9 base toll, sources say buff.ly/3Z50Tfu

Before Damian Williams is replaced, can someone in the press corps inquire into whether the SDNY USAO ever got any response from the NYPD re the city's illegal parking ADA violations and/or why SDNY never followed up? @StreetsblogNYC @THECITYNY @HellGateNY

Just in: The feds are threatening to sue NYC if city vehicles do not stop parking on sidewalks and crosswalks in ways that "impede the access of people with disabilities to pedestrian pathways," if you want to talk about an actual ADA lawsuit. PDF letter: justice.gov/d9/2024-04/let…

It’s always revealing when the city puts up temporary paper No Parking signs in existing No Standing zones that are notorious for @placardabuse—showing that they *can* prevent dangerous, congestion-causing illegal parking when they want. They just don’t ever want to.

louder for those who keep peddling different lies to cover for the fact that they just want to protect their entitlement (and then compound it by illegally parking everywhere)

NEW from RPA and @PCACriders: Exempting municipal employees from any future #CongestionPricing plan isn't just a blow to transit — it'd favor high-earning employees over others who work and commute in the CBD. RPA and PCAC looked at the consequences: rpa.org/work/reports/t…

Hope your workers enjoyed their bacon egg and cheeses while blocking the Church St. bike lane during rush hour this morning, @mta @nyctsubway Those sandwiches really looked like an emergency that needed an immediate response.

Success! Thank you for listening and responding to this concern, @NYC_DOT cc @NYCBikeLanes @bikenewyork @StreetsblogNYC

This VMS board has been removed by the contractor who installed it.

I long for a @NYC_DOT that doesn’t prioritize informing drivers of one 4-hour overnight lane closure in a week over access to the pedestrian and bike paths for the most famous bridge in the city (world?).

Hey @NYC_DOT @nick_benson @LincolnRestler why is there a giant electronic sign and parked car completely blocking the N/S bike lane entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge from Adams St., pushing cyclists into heavy vehicle traffic? Will this be gone by rush hr tmrw?

Still there during rush hr: Ex. A of how this city works. Instead of moving an NYPD car that blocks the pedestrian path, @NYC_DOT put an electronic sign blocking the bike lane and crosswalk to the BK Bridge to announce one 4-hr overnight car lane closure nine (9) days from now.

Everyone in Prospect Park keeps asking me, “Is that an original Malinko, a book about a newlywed couple on a Route 66 honeymoon who stumble upon a desolate town with a mysterious radio play, which can be yours for $25 (Venmo: Rick-Paulas, PayPal: rickpaulas@gmail)?” Yes, it is.
