so much media aimed at children will tell them that vegetables (particularly sprouts for some reason) are ‘yucky’ or a chore, yes bad cooking probably plays into it, but if a parent can’t cook broccoli well then chances are the rest of the food isn’t exactly gourmet either

Strange that incest is spoken about as distinct from rape—i.e. "rape and incest exceptions"—when we know that in practice incest is overwhelmingly forced & coercive—that is, a type of rape. Seems like a way to conceal how much sexual violence occurs within the nuclear family.
