If you and several friends get together to "have church' you didn't. A church has offices, shepherds, structure, etc. Without a pastoral office there is no church.

I don’t believe this to be the case. What it demonstrates that the convention is unified on the office of pastor/elder/overseer. There was disagreement over the necessity of the amendment. Disagreement of amendments, but agreement in doctrine.
That 90% vote to remove churches but only 61% to make it policy means we have an issue in the SBC. #SBC24

Regardless of what you hear in the secular media the Southern Baptist Convention stands with the crystal clear teaching of scripture that the role of pastor is reserved to men only. Our actions of recent years have proved it and our doctrinal confession confirms it.
We are no less conservative, and no less committed to the Scriptures than we were when we landed in Indy. #SBC24

When the complaints came yesterday, I went and looked at the “car.” No drivetrain. It’s a shell with a wrap. Easy to see that. Probably a few thousand dollars to display, less than an LED wall and sound system. Let’s be more charitable, friends.

🧵I spent some time with ChatGPT this morning. I told it that I’m a 15 year old boy considering a gender transition. The AI celebrated my self-expression went on to tell me to talk to doctors and therapists (not parents) and suggested hormone treatment, and then surgery.
I wonder if she’d be willing to test this thesis. Spend one month with the Taliban and one with my family, and at the end of this experience let’s revisit this claim.
