How did he not see Finidi’s sacking as an indication that indigenous coaches are not rated and will not get a chance to coach the Super Eagles for a long time to come 🤔 It’s a sad reality honestly.

“I will suggest the NFF apoinnt Samson Siasia and Salisu Yusuf as Finidi George's replacement,” @ColinUdoh via @54footballx X Space. Siasia ban will end in August. Interesting.

The last line, “why appoint him if you did not believe in him”, if that is not the height of incompetence on their part, I don’t know what else is. Next round of World Cup qualifiers is in March 2025, why not leave him there for a few more games just to save face. Shame on them!

The NFF Executive Board should be resigning now and a new election called - if they sincerely mean well for Nigeria. But, they won't. Why allow Jose Peseiro to walk when we had important qualifiers? Why appoint Finidi George if you did not believe in him?

I don’t think it’s a fair comparison to be honest, Peseiro lost 6 of his first 8 games as the coach. His team’s performance at the last AFCON has made us forget how bad his time was too. I think it’s time we accept that we overestimate our players.

Gernot Rohr - 3rd Place in AFCON, qualification for WC with games in hand Peseiro - AFCON final Eguaveon - 2nd round exit in AFCON Finidi - 1 point in 2 WCQ matches Is this a coincidence or are the worst of our foreign coaches better than the available local coaches?

Where exactly do you stand? This minute you’re blaming the coach, next minute it’s the players. How difficult is it to say the truth?

Players came to camp late despite finishing their season over a week before camp but want to stroll & win those who have been in camp from day one cos we are Super Eagles with a new national anthem. It will be football injustice to win a team that prepares well for qualifiers.

This post is a disgrace, blaming the coach for that kind of incident is low. When it’s not PES that he’s the one controlling them. Criticize the coach however but players colliding shouldn’t be one of the criticisms.

Boniface & Onuachu were just colliding on the pitch. Were there no clear instructions on how to play? Eh Finidi?

Empirical evidence disagrees with this, they’re both important in determining athletic ability. Saying nature takes 70% is you discounting birth place effects and deliberate practice as important factors for footballing success. I’ll rather not put a % to it.

Football is way more nature than nurture. I have played football 3-4 times almost every week for the past 15 years and I have only improved marginally over the 15 years. Football is at least 70% talent and 30% other factors.

Bosman ruling of 1995 gives every worker (including football players) the rights to move freely to a new employer in another EU country.

What’s stopping France doing to Mbappé what Brazil did with Pelé in 1961? Legally declaring him a national treasure and therefore unable to be ‘exported’ and leave the country permanently.

I'm excited to share that my first book will be released at the end of this month! The challenges facing Africa are well-documented. Corrupt politicians have plunged our continent into multi dimensional poverty, insecurity is on the rise- our political leaders have failed.

How about signing up for a Masterclass with @ALOFFAWY on cooking? Instead of suffering this way

I prepared this disastrous food this afternoon. It would be a reasonable call if my wife were to try it and choose to file for divorce. For this meal, even I would get divorced! Guys… avoid having your wife leave you at home and travel... Just go where she goes! 😭😭😭

Don't also forget that $75k or $100k to the citizens of that country is like 75k or 100k in naira. It appears huge amount to us because of conversion. For them its not a big money, their earnings is higher and a vibrant economy, employment is certain after study
