Fire #251 30 miles out of Tok 1.9 acres done. Long day for the crew but got some sleep, lunch and we are ready.
Sounds like we will be moving to McGrath to staff for high fire danger for a couple of weeks. I'll update more later.

We will likely be disbanding this weekend with a few guys sticking around to shut down camp in McGrath.
We are nearing the end of the 2009 Fire Season for the Yukon Fire Crew. It's been a great season. The crew has grown a lot this year.
We continue to rehab dozer line on the Rex Creek Fire. Wednesday will be our last shift and travel back to McGrath on Thursday.

A short squad is rolling the miles of fire hose pulled off the incident with the bulk of the crew rehabing dozer line around residences.
