It’s official. I am the worst mother ever. My 8 year old daughter FAILED her first weather test in 3rd grade science class. This child storm chased as a newborn and has been subjected to conversations about quasi-geostrophic potential vorticity since she was in the WOMB 😭😫

8 years ago today this sweet girl made me a mom. Today she wanted to spend her birthday watching @Twistersmovie ! The original movie inspired this weather loving girl to be a meteorologist and I love how this new movie keeps up the tradition of inspiring strong female scientists!

I remember my first job paid $12/hr. No vacation/sick days. Everyone thought I had made it because I was on tv every morning. I was eating rice a roni 5 days a week because you could get them 4/$1 and I could barely pay my bills. In comparison, we pay our interns $25/hr
Before taxes this is $2,600 a month. After taxes, $2,182 a month. The median rent for a 1 bedroom in Grand Junction is $1,625. Let’s say utilities/phone/gas are $200/month. You have a BS degree and live on $89.25/week. Shame on Nexstar. Internships pay more. D Embarrassing.
