I'd rather eat turnips than tomatoes in winter. Eat seasonal. insanelygoodrecipes.com/turnip-recipes/
Someone has had Covid, they tell the meeting, explaining it as first time hence bad. Someone else kindly says we need to look after you because of the risks of Long Covid. Everyone looks blank and no one says we need to look after everyone and it's not just the first time...
'I didn't expect Covid to take me out for 3 weeks, I was expecting a two-day illness...' Sigh. And so it goes on.
They say climate *protesters* are disruptive. Valencia today.
I had a meeting with physio today. He saw my mask & offered to wear one, I looked around the room - no windows - & said 'there's no ventilation so yes please'. He did. I completely forgot I & he were wearing them. It's really easy. What's the big deal?
Has X made it so when someone raises issues with a business and its service this doesn't show up on your posts? Interesting......
Am invited to a lovely singing event & was considering going but basically decided not to. Just saw someone who's got Covid for the first time - 'but I've only been out to choir rehearsals!' Strengthened my resolve to stay away from concerts and big events. Sad but necessary.
I like all the Covid conscious posts on here. One after another. It's balm to the spirit. You are the only people I know, virtually (and nearly the only ones really), who have any sense about Covid nowadays. I give up trying to say stuff to people and getting vacant 'yeahs'.
Met a manager yesterday who found it difficult that his group of volunteers prefer to meet online not F2F. Attributing it to problems 'post-Covid' etc. So many people so convinced F2F is always better, are unable to see the equal if in some ways different potentials of online.
Please share links to very recent research studies from reputable, highly unchallenging sources about the effects of even mild Covid, thank you
Very sad. Friend with Parkinson's very sensible, vigilant still masks. But...had Covid recently, wasn't too bad, so is now reflecting on the option of not getting further vaccines. Is hyper-worried about health generally. Is even following John Campbell. ☹️
Can anyone be free and easy again in a Covid/post-Covid world? Are the ones who act like they are just pretending and doing a better job of convincing themselves than everyone else?
So these people who say this time I got over Covid by spending 4 days on the sofa like hrmmph, it's nothing, doesn't matter. I find it deeply alienating.
Will the Covid vaccines in the UK campaign starting on 3 October be up to date or out of date? Any knowledge?
Would you drink from the common communion cup in a 'post-Covid' era? Apparently the risk is low. I'm wondering what people think.
It's a grey day, still warm. GP surgery waiting room rammed, windows closed (they were nicely open only two weeks ago), not a mask in sight other than mine. Nurse coughing - 'no worries, it's just a dry cough'. Oh I am so not looking forward to the winter.
Saw optician today. He wore a mask at my request but said he had absolutely no concerns on his own behalf. Who are these people? Just about everyone.
Annoying colleague who has to query/reject/change everything that is proposed. Grrr....

Boris Johnson: "Have some guts, face down your critics, and acquire the perspective that comes with distance and a kilo of retsina." I am SO GLAD we have this moronic debauchery out of office. Starmer is doing a great job!
