Hey there! I’m Kim Wonderley and I like taking pictures in the middle of the night through partially closed eyes as I hurtle through space to KCBS Radio.

SF’s pre-dawn lasers at the Ferry Building. It continues nightly through Sunday. Thanks #Illuminate

The historic yet dizzying Mechanics Institute is just a couple doors down from our new studios @KCBSRadio What a trip - but I’ll take the elevator, thanks.

This is the final in the series of the summer “Illuminate“ project. Laser cannons are being fired from the top of the Fairmont at the rose window of Grace Cathedral. Check it out this weekend, from dusk to dawn. Bravo - Tony Bennett approves!

Clear skies meant a quick trip up the hill to check on Coit Tower surveying a sleepy city. Good morning all!

Another happy accident - since the famous SF cable cars don’t start running till 8am, I never get to see them on the tracks but here’s where they go to sleep at the Cable Car Barn and Museum. I’ve never been…you? Oh, and it’s free!

Since I came upon the Clay Jones Apartments yesterday quite by accident I had to go back and take a proper shot this pre-dawn. More Gotham, more radio tower, more deco detailing . What’s not to love?

I think you really need to be at the top of high-rise to photograph the Russ Building. I found a decent angle on Sutter of this gothic beauty- completed in 1927. It’s notable as SF’s first high-rise with indoor parking and it was the tallest building here until 1964!

When’s the last time you drove down the twisty part of Lombard Street? For me it was this morning at 4 AM or so…with a fog-shrouded Coit Tower in the distance.

What ever happened to Chop Suey? It’s disappeared from menus whereas it used to be THE dish - Dad told me they would go for it back in post-WWII S.F. I’ve been looking for this old decaying neon sign for awhile and finally slowed down enough to snag a shot this AM.

San Francisco has its issues, no doubt. But there are still times you drive around a corner and “gasp”! It’s still beautiful here and I’ll always love the pointy building.

Gassing up SoCal style! Good morning all.

Good morning! Waiting for a cab atop Nob Hill on a Wednesday morning.

Kind of blue? Is it because of the Warriors win or did they re-release the watershed album from Miles Davis? The Transamerica Pyramid looks stunning this AM!

All hail the godhead of Ocean Beach!

While Coit Tower is not meant to resemble a fire hose nozzle - I’m not quite buying it. Since today is the anniversary of the 1906 earthquake/fire, let’s tip our hats to the brave firefighters that worked against all odds to save this hill town. View from Telegraph Hill.

Only in San Francisco can you find mermaids in the sky! Good morning all.

Signs of spring! There is hope! Happy weekend all.

Chester surveys the scene (yes, it was windy!) in Pacific Grove.
