Advancing our knowledge about management of patients with high risk breast lesions. Breast MRI proves to be a useful tool!

Breast MRI is another tool to aid in decision-making for who is appropriate to de-escalate surgical intervention for ADH. If no enhancement at ADH site, there were no missed cancers and active monitoring can be appropriate in these cases. #bcsm @WinbladOnalisa

Surgical excision of intraductal papilloma can be omitted in many patients!

ADH can be observed rather than excised when low risk features are identified.

No need to automatically excise all ADH if there is an ipsilateral breast cancer! Can risk stratify similar to cases with solitary ADH. @AnnSurgOncol @KUcancercenter @DrJWagner @WinbladOnalisa

Listen to this rockstar @KUcancercenter #bcsm researcher. “I see a need for ACTION more than I see a need for awareness...most people in the country and the world are aware of breast cancer, perhaps not as aware as they should be of how many are still dying from this disease.” 🙌🏻

Love my alma mater @RockhurstU and love the highlighted alumnus @McGeeneyMD ❤️ much deserved Emmy nomination 👏🏻👏🏻

Wondering how to manage a separate site of ADH with an ipsilateral breast cancer? ADH upgrade rate is not significantly increased by the ipsilateral cancer. rdcu.be/b5OFo @AnnSurgOncol @DrJWagner @DrK_Larson17 @WinbladOnalisa @KUcancercenter
