Most of the time, the words you put in quotes don't actually "need" them.
Looking forward to presenting my paper at #sblaar24, "The Longer Your Paper Title Is The Less Interesting It Will Be: Assorted Critical Studies in Coherence, Concision, and Unnecessary Subtitles."
Dear President Trump, I know people are asking for a lot of things from you right now. But I think I speak for everyone when I say please give us the Hilux. It’s time.
After careful consideration and close market analysis, I am announcing that rent for living in my head will no longer be free. Thank you for your understanding.

About twelve years ago, as a young husband, new dad, and seminary student, I spent a few summers helping David with yardwork at his house. He would come out and chat with me often. People who knew him will know how much good David could do in simple settings like that.
David Powlison passed 5 years ago today. Grateful for this resource page from @ccef to help us rightly remember the life and legacy of a good man who "lived" biblical counseling as much as he "did" biblical counseling. ccef.org/resources?pers…
Very sad to report that I have now decided to increase the font size on my phone.
The 2023 issue of the Journal of Septuagint and Cognate Studies has just been published! This issue features In memoriam remembrances of Robert Kraft and James Aitken as well as a set of papers devoted to New Linguistic Approaches to the Septuagint.
Finally there is a new BHQ fascicle: Job, edited by Robert Althann. Like the new ECM volume, it will be released in June in Germany (unfortunately it will then be a few weeks before it is available in the US and elsewhere overseas).
Very excited to see this handbook finally in print. I was pleased (and rather challenged) to contribute a chapter on the history of how dictionaries have functioned within the history of biblical interpretation. #nerdalert
The Cambridge Handbook of the Dictionary by Edward Finegan, Michael Adams Bringing together cutting-edge research, this Handbook provides a complete guide to how dictionaries are, and have been, created and used. cup.org/4dZI7M6
Sad news. I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Fernández Marcos in 2017 and present my research to his team at CSIC. He was a lovely man and a fine scholar.
We are sad to report the passing of Natalio Fernández Marcos, a scholar who was active in Septuagint studies for over 50 years. Among his many publications, some of the most notable were his editions of the Antiochene text and his magisterial introduction to the Septuagint.
