Today was probably the best day of fishing I’ve ever had. I caught 8 separate species today, 7 of which I’ve never caught before. I caught a gafftopsail catfish, bull shark, red drum, and spotted sea trout. Other fish in comments
The water had gotten really cold recently, so I thought the catfish were pretty much gone for the winter. But tonight the big boys were out and about. I don’t think I’ll get quality catfishing like this anytime soon.
This is the biggest yellow perch I have ever seen and caught. Normally it ye yellow perch around my dock are little guys so this is a big contrast. A little fun fact, the Missouri state record for yellow perch was caught at the same lake I fish at.
It’s November 1, so that means it’s time to tally up every fish I’ve caught this month. I caught over 70 fish this month, most of which were catfish

A lot of kitties were biting tonight. Fished for an hour and a half and caught these four feesh. The first one of which was 31 inches long, that’s the longest channel catfish I’ve ever caught. Besides that, one of the fish was a flathead which I haven’t seen in a while :)
Even more catfish tonight, plus a pretty good sized bluegill. I think I’m going to die from boredom whenever winter hits and all the fish stop biting but I’m enjoying the fishing while it lasts
