Flash Flood Emergency for NW Suffolk County. This is a Particularly Dangerous Situation. Turn Around Don't Drown. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible.

Torrential rainfall continues across central and eastern Long Island. There are multiple water rescues ongoing in portions in the Nesconset, Ronkonkoma, Smithtown, and St. James areas. Do not drive through flooded roads. Turn around don't drown!
